Just a suggestion Dan, how about leaving player related designs untill we know exactly who is and isn't going to be playing next season, focus your attention on the clubs history.
The clubs history plays a big part in what the club is today, different peoples memories will span different era's so there will be appreciation for the efforts all round, and in my own personal opinion i feel displays portraying a background story are impressive and speak volume for a club.
