THE NEW SEASON STARTS SATURDAY!! i can't believe the new season is upon us and there has been practically no talk at all about it?!!? this time last season this forum was packed with talk about the 1st game of the season,who's going,whats happening,a coach,display ideas... but this season nothing?. i personaly cant wait for the season to begin .. am i the only one?? why isnt everyone buzzing by the idea of a new chance to go up.. a new team,manager,banners and personally i think this is going to be our best chance we're going to have in a while!! c'mon boys get ****ing excited about the atmosphere we've all missed over the summer which is going to be back this saturday at kiddy... this is our year!! remeber that!
iam well looking forward to the kick off on saturday i cant make it though got some stuff to do i cant get out of,but iam sure the red and blue army together with the rest of the shots supporters will get the boys going lets hope for a good win if not a good party anyway! torquay wed night cant wait make it a loud one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There has been a lot of talk about the start of the season but it seems to have been behind the scenes and away from the messageboard, There was talk of a coach but due to a number of RBA fans travelling up in a minibus early for a supporters match the chances are we wouldn't be able to fill it and would lose out on money.
I know a number of people have been discussing ideas for a display or two for the upcoming fixture against Torquay but I'm not sure if anything has been finalised yet, I'm really hoping that the team can get off to a good start as I feel this will re-ignite the spark that's been missing on the pitch and will inevitably fire tha fans up even more than they already are.
I'm positive that this season is going to be better than the last two although I don't think we will gain promotion this year I do think we will have an extremely good season, personally I'd like to see some passionate football at the rec again. If we finish up 8-9th again but have played some excellent football throughout the season rather than scraping results I'll be happy.
I also think that what happens at the club on and off the field ultimately has an effect on the morale of fans so therefore a good start to season can only be good for the RBA and aldershot as a whole.

Guys I can't wait for the start of the season, however it's not going to start for me until I get back from the USA. First game for me (depending on when my flight lands) will be Sat 8th September against NorthWich Victoria.
Well every1 including myself that was on the East bank last night was buzzin 4 the start of the season....you could tell cos although there wern't many of us we were makin lots of noise. Steadily over the pre season I have seen the squad developing into what I recon will be a top 5 side. Gary Waddock seems to have brought a bit of extra professionalism to the club and he has really got the players fittness levels up which I think will be the difference. There also seems to be a good team spirit and the lads are workin hard for each other which is good to see. All the new signings have impressed me and Kirt Hudson really seems to be coming of age. He will be the 1 to watch this year I recon. This is gonna be our year boys......we're goin up as Champions!!!
