York City away

Jason/Shearer, there looks like there will be at least half a team staying up the week-end, could we organise a game?  We have played them at our place before!  just needs another car load to come up on the day (or join everyone in York for the w/e)

I'm guessing this means there will be no RBA coach going to York??

No Dan unfortunately not, as about 10-12 of the regulars will already be up there

Damn,I know this is a thread about the York City game. . .but has anyone got any idea of what games the RBA will be doing a coach on. . .or is that undecided??

Next one that is planned is Farsley Celtic, might try to go for one to Torquay (but mid week so may reduce the number who can go)
Other possibles could be Stafford, Exeter and Droylsden.
We will definitely be running one to Rushden (promotion or no promotion) as it is an RBA tradition to finish off the season with a fancy dress trip!
Almost certainly won't be one to Ebbsfleet (too close) and Halifax, as again quite a few are staying up there on the Saturday night.
I am sure I have probably missed one or two in there!

Well, fortunatly my Grandad lives in Exeter,so my dad said he'd give me a lift down, and we'd stay for the w/e,and whether he came to the game or not he had not decided. . .but then again,my dads not much of a football fan,he only supports Stoke City cos Gordon Banks USED to play for them, lol.
I will probably make an attempt to get to some of those, but I am DEFINITLY going to Rushden, and I always enjoy fancy dress,so I may join in for thatbiggrin

Dan, take him along anyway, maybe you could get another supporter, and hopefully RBA member to the football!

Haha,he watched the Salisbury game on the TV. . .I didn't realise he was watching and I got about 5 txts from him saying things like 'Strakers playing well','Whos this poof coming on for Salisbury','I hope that wasn't you running on the pitch'. . he said they looked like a good team for non-league,and that he'd think about it.
He was 100% coming, cos we know the fiance of the assistant manager of exeter and she said she would get us in free, but he quitfurious
But I can hopefully persuade him to come alongsmile

Hi guys.

Just to let you know, I have been in contact with York, and today they confirmed that there will be a game.

They have two different pitches lined up, so they'll confirm one in due course, and then I'll post directions.

Just so I am clear, who is going up there to play? Travelling on the day, or day before?
