Home to Oxford

Cracking atmosphere last night, some great stuff about us on the Oxford forum too...

"in all the games i have been to i have never felt so enthused by the support of the opposition.
A huge, cavanous terrace, split between home and away fans, flags, drums even flares!!! all used correctly and to good effect it kept the crowd entertained for the full 90 minutes. yes it was a good game. but it was helped in no small part the performance of the aldershot fans, which in turn spured our own fans in to finding voice and creating good harmless banter between to sets of fans.

that to me makes it my favourite football experience in this country at this present time.
i am prepared to be corrected by anyone at any level but i've been to about 250 games and nothing has come close to that in my opinion."

"Last night is what going to football is all about, the passion in the terrace. The drums, flags and flare - really getting involved.

It was the atmosphere of the London road that got me hooked the first time, if was the football, I could go else where.

For me, this is how every game should be. So my hat goes off to the Shots fans for making an exciting atmosphere."

Love it! biggrin

Dan stark filmed like the entire match for some reason, he said he managed to capture the goal.

I'm right in thinking the smoke didn't go up as well as it should have?

Whoever threw the smoke, it landed by the feet of an OAP supporter and was choking him so I picked it up and threw it amounst the ACY.......trouble was some jobs-worth steward saw me do it so assumed it was me that was responible for it!!! Thanx to some sweet talking by Pitkin and Foot they didn't arrest me! phew!!! close call!! biggrin

Amazing atmospere btw......Well done every1. Great to hear all the positive reactions from away fans.....Especially as they were Oxford!! fair play smile

Indeed it is. Don't like re-doing displays, becomes VERY boring. We found that out a few times before.

Scott, are you going to beat Dundee in the cup? They reckon they're going to spring a surprise on you lot! Whoever wins has a fairly easy next round draw!

chappie on a personal note i knew it wasnt you but hey i was doing my job,
the only reason i pulled rodgers out was i had to make a point as him and a few others organise flag displays e.t.c and im sorry to rodgers if he finds that offensive but i was doing a job and i thought the stewards were really fair on tuesday against oxford but sam lets the rba do anything they want within reason and then the rba go and let off smoke bomb,im sorry but i find that offensive because you have the freewill at eastbank on everyhome game,i think the rba should at least apoligise to sam,
as its sam that gets it in the neck when the rba mess about
