For anyone that hasn't heard yet......I was involved in a car accident on Tuesday night after the HSC game. I was driving my van up to Tesco to fuel up ready for the next day.....As I was going past the football ground a Ford Focus coming the other way came around the corner at high speed and lost control. The car skidded across to my side of the road and inpacted head on with my van. I had to be cut free from the back of the van and taken to Frimley Park. Luckily I got away with just bruising and a dislocated big toe!! The phoenix was looking down on me! haha What annoyed me the most was that the ambulance crew cut away my clothes which included mt ATFC hoodie!.....but guess I should be thankful I'm still alive. I joked with the lads that if I hadn't of made it at least I would of past away outside the place I love the most! (not far to scatter the ashes!) The boy Racer walked away without a scratch by the way but I'm just glad he had insurance as I feared he was a joy rider. Want to say a special thanks to Wally who was on the scene, Gaz Etherington who came to hospital with me and to Lee Patton and Jackie Jones for also visiting at silly o'clock. Hoping to make the Tamworth game if I can get a lift as no longer able to drive. Don't think I'll be doing much singing or jumping about tho! Maybe a while before Chappie is back to his old self but I'm just glad I'm not gonna miss the end of the Championship winning season!
It's disappointing to hear that w**kers like this are on the road flying about like they do. It's boys racers such as that who ruin my chances of getting on the road and increasing taxes and insurance.....
Whoa that looks bad, we lost and you were in a car accident. You should say your ATFC hoodie was insured Its ****s like those that make people like me have to wait another year just to learn how to drive. Still a dislocated big toe isnt that bad, it could've been much worse. SUE THEM!!!!
Cheers for all the messages of concern from everyone. Just to let you know I've been resting up all week down at my Dads in Plymouth and am well on the way to recovery. I recon I'll be back in full voice on Sat vs Kiddy, although I'm still hobbling like a cripple! Just a word of warning though......Please no more bear hugs like the 1 Minty gave me after Kirk's late winner up in Tamworth!.....That 1 nearly put me back in hospital!!!
