here is a copy of the danny hylton interview i done for the fanzine that never happened , thought it would be best if i post it on here before its out of date...
1. What is your most memorable moment since playing at Aldershot? ( not including winning the setanta shield & blue square premiership)
earning a professional contract and scoring against torquay.
2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time (career/life)?
i wanna be playing as high as i can and if that with aldershot than that will make it even more special
3. Who do you most aspire to?
well growing up ian wright was my fav player so probably him
4. Give me 3 words that best describe you?
hardworking, ambitious, pain-in-the-arse.
5. Whos the longest in the shower? (lol)
haha, well dean howell takes agessssssss in the the shower,
6. (Question from Chappie) what CD is in your car at the moment?
currently learning to drive, but in my cd player old skool garage album
7. Which football team did you support as a boy?
arsenal
8. Which ground are you most looking forward to visiting this season and why?
coventry in the carling cup coz it will be a tough game and there should be a massive crowd there.
9. What is the most expensive thing you own (car excluded)?
ermm???? my bank card! lol
10. (Question from Nicola .P) if you werent a footballer what job would you do?
i would like to have been plumber or summin like that.
11. (Question from Tony Roberts) do you set himself personal targets for a season? If so, what is your target for this coming season?
i dont set targets as in how many goals i wanna score but i set myself targets such as, breaking in to the first 11, getting a good run in the team.
12. (question from Tony Roberts) if you were to liken yourself to a premier league striker - who do you think you most resembles (in playing style)
well i like rooney, i think hes hardworking and does alot running and hes a really unselfish player
13. (Question from Tony Roberts) who do you tip as the next player to watch from our youth team who could make the 1st team?
well i dont know alot of the youth players now as alot of them have left from wen i was there but i still know a couple and id say watch out for josh huggins, a center midfielder, hardworking, gets the ball and gives it easy.
14. (question from Tony Roberts) is there a reason why you dont clap the fans back when you are being subbed
u no what....there is no reason for that, i should and will start from now on to do that, its nothing aginst the fans i think each and every1 of u's are legends, wouldnt be where we are if it wernt for u's.
15. ( question from tim nobbs) what do you think of the support on match days? E.G- Noise and the colour with the displays we do.......?
i think the support was the best in the conference by far and if theres a better support in league 2 id be very surprised loads of fans always turn up to the games no matter how far away or what weather it is and ur always singing and encouraging even if were losing, keep doing what ur doing, its like having an extra player.
FOLLOWING QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED BY TONY ROBERTS. I personally think hes got to much time on his hands ..lol
16. where do you predict we will finish this coming season?
well obviously styaing in the league is a priority, but secretly personally i think we can get promoted.
17. who do you think (apart from us) will be the teams to fear?
we fear nobody. but i think shrewsbury will be very good this year.
18. who do you want to draw in the Carling cup after we beat Coventry (your ideal draw)?
i would love to draw colchester away, its because my best mate plays for them and it would be great to play against him in a competitive game,also i always tell him were better than them so we could finally settle our arguement, plus there new stadium looks wicked and it would be nice to play there.
19. who was the most difficult opponent that you played against last season (individual defender)?
anthony charles in training hes a really good defender, but in an actual game i found it really hard against the ebsfleet defenders i think as a pair they make it really hard for u.
20. who do you room with on away trips?
mikheal juiz jaimez, hes chilled out so its nice to stay in there, i would hat to share a room with some1 like charlesy loooool hes a nightmare.
21. in the current squad who has/is a. best dress sense ben harding
b. best sense of humour ricky newman and bully as a pair
c. best car dean howells car is nice,its a big chrysler
d. most intelligent ricky newman or blacky
e. hardest (who you would least want to end up in a fight with!) personally i think im the hardest but apart from me id say dave winfield even tho hes a youngster still hes huge and i dont think anybody would like to fight him lol
It is fascinating to read some of the answers! especially the unexpected ones (like Colchester in the cup) well done Jax, if you can get another interview, I promise that I will free up some of my time to ask a few more questions!!
