Hello everybody, I am a 41 year old male from Oslo, Norway. I've developed an interest in Aldershot FC and Aldershot Town ever since I discovered that you were the only club in England playing in same colours as my local team, Skeid.
I'm visiting Aldershot for the first time next weekend and due to my lack of knowledge about your town I have a few questions. (I have already asked about tickets and scarves in to other posts) Where is the best pub to visit before a game? Do you have a club shop open on matchdays? Any good chip shops close to the Rec?
Thanks for all your answers, hope to see you soon, Tore
Tore, we look forward to welcoming you. Probably the easiest pub is the Beehive (walk away from the ground under the railway bridge and it is on the left) There is also a chip shop along that way.
The club shop is inside the ground and is open before the match (behind the North Stand (it is a small shop so don't expect much!!)
many of us drink in the Black Bull (which is also inside the ground in the top left hand corner) we would be happy to buy you a beer if you can find us to welcome you to your first game Just ask anyone to point you in the direction of Flagboy, Fatboy, Chappie, Frank or Tony
I gather you are hoping to attend the Luton home game next weekend?, if so, we'll need to get you a ticket as they've made it all ticket on Police advice!?!?!? Let us know.
Some of us will be in the Beehive pub from 11am, so pop in and make yourself known to the people wearing the Aldershot shirt!
I've been emailing Tore and have picked up 2 tickets for him and his cousin. Was gonna meet him in the Behive but looks like it will have to be outside the ground now followed by a drink in the black bull.
