A question about one of the flags.

I have seen a flag being waved at matches, that is a guy wearing a white hat with glasses on, sticking his fingers up and holding a pint. Can anyone explain this to me.....its probably very obvious, but both me and my 2 boys are curious.

Also what is the difference between a Supra and an RBA, and is either connected in any way to the infamous "A" Coy???

many thanks

The flag you have seen has become somewhat of a "mascot" for the Phoenix Supras. A simple image found by one of the group members, holding a pint and sticking 2 fingers up to modern football. He has since been named John, after a fun-filled night down the pub.

and neither has any connection to the A Company (although some members have been known to behave like there is on certain occasions!)

Many thanks mate, but what is the difference between a Supra and an RBA?

Not a huge amount Badwookie.  Many of the Supras used to be in the RBA and were most of the guys doing the work on displays.  They felt the RBA had changed from what they wanted and was not doing enough on the display front etc, so they set up the Supras.  Everyone is still mates and we still travel to some away games together etc.  hope that helps

Yeah that explains it very well. I think the support at Aldershot is brilliant, and i have enjoyed the time ive spent at the EBB for the last 3 years. Being a serving soldier, i have found myself in Aldershot, and supporting the local team. The only issue ive ever had in town is the "A" Company members. The RBA / Supras do a great job in the support of the team etc. My only downside is being a Villa fan as well...lol.

COME ON THE SHOTS
