I collect football programmes, inparticular, Aldershot town programmes and would like to know if anyone out there does the same. It would be great if we could start up a programme collecting system where we could swap one for one if theres anyone interested. As collecting can be expensive and we sometimes get riped of by high priced dealers, starting a swap system seems to be a good idea. Most of us go to watch Town play or live local so meeting to swap should'nt be a problem, so this would also save on expensive postage. Has anyone got any veiws on this and potential pittfuls what could accur.:
When it comes to A.T.F.C programmes I have been very fortunate! I have inherited 100's of prgrammes and also again just been given 100's more of a friend.
You name it and i've probably got it! I have ALMOST EVERY programme home and AWAY since the beginning of the 1980's. I think i need around 15 more programmes to complete my collection.
My aim in the next couple of years is to hunt down programmes from the 60's and 70's. After that I will stop collecting Aldershot programmes and will hopefully (fingers crossed) have Every programme since the beggining of the 60's - Which would be some achievement!
I do have loads of doubles at home (mainly more recent 98-05) sitting in the cupboard. So..If you just write me a list of what ones you need i can sort them out for you!
At present my collection goes back to 1955 but obviously there are some missing gaps but not to many. Like you ive got quite a few doubles and will make a list up of ones i need. i now know who you are and will come and introduce myself on tuesday night. catch ya later mr shearer, paul blundell. ie fatboys old man.
