As some of you might already know I have purchased a 14 seater Minibus to run to away games.
I plan to make the maiden voyage away to Oxford on the 27th August. Morcombe is too far and too soon as I am yet to sort out the Insurance and Break down cover.
The problem I have though is that after using all my budget on the bus, I don't have enough money to make the first payment on the insurance.
Therefore I was wondering if those interested in traveling with me would be prepared to pay up front for this trip as a one off. I've also had to make a slight price increase for this trip to cover the high cost of the insurance.
Yearly Insurance is coming out at $868(i have no pound sign on my keyboard!) and the ten monthly payments come out at $95. The first payment has to be upfront followed by a 2nd payment 10 days later.
So therefore I'm setting the price at $12.50 per person and hoping people will be prepared to pay this upfront so I can get the insurance on the 19th August. The reason for this is that its 10 days before my pay-day, thus making the next payment date the 28th. (when I have money!)
That gives me 11 days to get the bus filled and take money off everybody! this prob won't be possible but if I can get at least 8 booked and paid then I can sort the insurance and make the trip possible.
For future trips I will try to keep the cost as low as possible and except payment on the day but please for this trip I ask for your understanding.
Please post your name below if you are interested in traveling to Oxford on "Chappie's Tours, Red&Blue Army"!!!! and prepared to pay upfront asap.
I was planning on going to this game as well as I'll be in England for a week from the 23rd of august but I'm going to be in derby which isn't any good to you and looking at the cost of the train fare down to Oxford and back I'm not so sure I'll be able to make it now =(. I realise this doesn't help you at all Chappie but I thought I'd share my misery with you anyway =).

I have no plans to use your excellent and very generous alternative to away travel at present but I'm willing to chuck in £20 to get you going! PM me and I'll cough up after payday which for me is the 25th
Hi Chappie, i won't be using your bus for the Oxford game, but would probably use it on other occations as will Ben i guess. As money is short, me and Ben would be prepared to chuck in a £10 each, even though he does'nt know it yet. Come and see me on saturday and i will give you £20. Also, as a non drinking driver, i would also put myself forward as a driver if you so need one. See you saturday, Paul. Mind your buses windows at Oxford.
Cheers Baz for the rallying call. Think its been quiet as its still a while away and we still have 2 away games before Oxford.
Dylan, good to hear from you mate! Hope you can somehow make it down from Derby for the game. Maybe worth posting on Shotsweb to see if anyone is coming down from up north who can give you a lift?
Geezer-m8, Thankyou for your kind offer. I will send you a pm.
Paul, again another very generous offer but please only donate if you can afford to. I know how tight things are at the moment. Also thanks for the offer of stand in driver. This will be very helpful for any games I cannot make. Can you PM me your DOB and I will add you as a named driver.
I have also had a very generous donation from Flagboy which means I'm over halfway to the 1st payment. This is despite the fact he now lives in Dorset so will be unable to take advantage of the transport, top man and hats off!
Therefore I've decided to lower the price to ten pounds a seat which was my original intention. This is thanks to the kind generousity of the true Shots fans. My thanks to all of you.
ps. Steve Marshall has also offered to donate so can't thank you all enough. Lets get this bus on the road!!!
