well as you lot know i was organising a supporters game on saturday in tribute to jamie,but things have changed slightly as me and dave shearer have been in discussion over it and jamie use to live on sandy hill and they asked dave if they could play in the game consitsts of jamie's close friends,
sorry if any one is dissapointed but the team is as follows:
paul blundell g.k
ben blundell l.b
steve mackey c.b {captain}
ian parish c.b
pugsley r.b
garry robertson c.m
jason berney c.m
chris terry l.m
barry hindermarsh r.m
luke cotterill str
ben watts str
subs:
andy farmer
david main
ryan biggs
matt foot
ben smith{plymouth fan}
greg thornett
daniel rapley
jack saunders
and would ask a small contribution of £5 for pitch hire and a something to be held in memory of jamie and anyone who can come down and support for a great game and cheer both teams on the day
I am also planning on maybe producing a special programme for this game too (a price to be determined).
It will depend though, I don't want to have to write it all myself, so I would welcome any contributions to be sent to me at berney85@aol.com (you can send photo's, tributes, whatever you like as long as it is in memory of Jamie).
If I am going to produce this too, it would be nice to have an idea of how many people are going to come along and watch/play, and who would want one, so that I don't over/under produce this.
Hopefully I can get enough contributions and make a programme that will definately do justice to Jamie.
I would like to say it would be fantastic to see as many people as possible coming down. Even if your name has not been put in the starting X1 please come down. Even if you are not planning to play at all, please come down...it is definately for a good reason.
What do you think to my idea of a Jamie XI (Sandy Hill) vs Aldershot Supporters?! I thought it was really good as Shane and Nick both wanted to play along with others like Kev and Sean etc...
I spoke to Steve this morning and he said he would do his best to get himself and Wanye involved so..Hopefully they would both represent/captain a side each.
I would just like to urge people to please come down to bourley road Saturday morning! Even if your not playing please come down and show your support to Jamie's family. If your not in the team to play still come down and we can have a big penalty shoot out competition or something along those lines to get everyone involved!
Thanx for everyone's help on Saturday. and to those who helped me in the morning (you know who you are)
Anyway...I'll see you all saturday bright and early for a very special day!
good idea about making a programe for jamie on saturday mourning but what you could do for the people who cant get down to bourley road take and what dont get sold to the game in the afternoon.
WE WILL HAVE TO KEEP A GOOD EYE ON THE WEATHER AS SNOW IS PRIDICTED BY SAT MORN AND THE FROST IS HARDENING THE GROUND. SORRY LADS BUT ITS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
