well..fatboy posted about a tournement, which we've been trying to do for ages now....so Sat 7th when we have a free Saturday we should arrange one! I would like anyone who is interested to post there name and the position they would like to play! Then I will go through the list and sort out the teams, like how many teams, what the teams are, how long the games are etc...
I was also thinking if you want to play with your friends post all your names (5 a-side) and positions, make a silly team name up etc..
Probably a fee of £5 a person..money going towards the hire of the pitch, a possible trophy and obviously the RBA.
Hopefully we can get enough interest and start the 1st ever 'official' RBA TOURNEMENT.
Evening Chaps...I've had a few minor chats with people and some people cant make the 7th so we're going to do the 'official' RBA Tournement in the summer, when the weather is nice and we can play on the grass!!
HOWEVER...there is still a big interest in doing one on the 7th which i dont mind organising. The plan would be for it to be played at Heath End School All Weather Pitch if possible!?! I will get a quote for the hire for the day. It could be pricey so it would require people to still pay the initial £5. Any money we have left over (if indeed we have any left over) can be put in the RBA accounts or shared back out evenly!?
personaly i think it would be better to what we did last saturday just a match on the pitch but i dont mind what we do but definatly want to do something.
Dave mate - if we are doing the tournament in the summer i might be able to get Monkton Lane for the day for free or for a really small fee ok and there is 7-a-side pitches marked out with goals in the club house which i would be able to get hold of, if you would like me to find out let me know the date and i will give some a call about the pitch ok.
The tournement in the summer should be done proper and if you can get us on one of the picthes down there, that would be great!
Should bring back the old memories of playing for Farnham - the Sunday mornings down there...playing with a stinking hangover and the lovely smell of the sewage works hmm...I can smell it now :P
With regards to this Saturday chaps...I'm going for 11.00 kick off Bourley Road! so..10.30 yer (help put the goals and nets up - sort teams and kits out etc) Just bring down your boots and shin pads and away we go..
i have spoke to the Person who is in charge of the pitches down monkton lane about borrowing a pitch for the tournament and he has said if i give him a date he will put it through and try and get us the pitch without a charge, but he said if they do want a little fee it would be no more then £25 for the pitch.
So if we can come up with a date for the tournament then i will be able to see about getting the pitch!
