ok we all saw it the most amazing flag display in the history of Aldershot matches followed by an amazing dominant display by the shots!. What an impact Ryan Williams made all over the place defending and attacking switching from side to side absolutly outstanding!.The loudest singing we've had for along time aswell but was more than 3 thousand there though!.
If you didnt see the match cornish just a friendly update Aldershot town fc 1-0 Exeter city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and we deserved it too 2006 is guna be our year!
I wouldn't say Dominant. However a much needed and I would say deserved victory today. It was probably one of the most exciting games I have seen in a while! Ashame there wasn't more goals, but the much needed 3 points is fantastic
Sounds like some of you lot were not though cos that was not a dominant display. Exeter could/perhaps should have scored 3 or maybe 4 if you include the two certain penalty appeals they had. Alder**** should have scored at least another 2, probably 3.
Maybe I didnt hear my phone ringing cos of the fine chanting from the away end?!?!?
Frank told me you had a little chant for me, I am honoured, though must confess none of us heard it.
Correct me if im wrong but the attendance was roughly 3100. Over 1000 of them were Exeter fans. That would leave about 1800-2000 Alder**** fans. Pretty poor attendance for a supposedly "well supported" Conference club.
And to say the 'We are Exeter' chant is all you heard is just a lie.
to be fair you only had about 3 songs. but the we are exeter stood out the most as thats the best you can come up with.
As for the attendance it was said to be around about that mark but i am sure you will agree there was a lot more than that.
As for our ground being S**t well at least we can get all your fans in our away end i remember a few years ago were you could not get us all in. You have only been supporting exeter since man u so you proberly won't know that fact
fine chanting from away fans?!? like **** was there especialy when we scored then it was silent the whole game kinda like at your ground! and no need to get bitter just because you lost eyeball and im sure you did hear your phone but did'nt want to pick it up! maybe someone cant face the truth
Dont worry Noz, i couldn't hear/understand what they were singing either! Unfortunately they have that annoying west country/farmer giles type accent which very few people understand.
Ok. Yes the game was end to end football. Imo you played as well as you did on boxing day but we raised our games against you on monday and the game could have ended in a draw if it was not for Nikki Bull the best keeper in the conference by far.
Yes the game could have ended 5-5 if not 6-5 to one side or any score like that as you came up to us for the win and went out to get the win but once we got our goal we played well and you attacked more leaving gaps at the back for us to go into and we should have had more then 1-0.
So good luck for the rest of the season and we will see you in the play-off (if you dont fall away again).
if you honestly think there was 1000 fans there you obviously dont go to many matches because after a while you can estimate quite well but evedently you only only go too big matches like Aldershot and err who else was it MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!
I wouldnt say we played as well as Boxing Day, but it certainly was an open game, could have gone either way and should definatly have been higher scoring.
Well i for one think they got the attendance wrong anyway! As there was not just over 3,000 at the game as it felt like the same against woking last year and that was over 4,000. But thats only my opinion so . . .
I would also say there was more like 600-750 Exeter fans
I was at the ground at around 1.45pm. I had ticket number 00452 so I would assume I would be the 452nd person to enter the away end. I reckon that the actual overall attendance would be in the region of 4000 maybe a bit higher and that Exeter contibuted around 1000 to that total.
Sos Garzy but how u can say there was only 350 Exeter fan i do not know spec when they where still queing outside at the K/O! and if you dont believe my about the Que just ask FLAGBOY!
I personally think that exeter have been the loudest set of away fans to the rec THIS season. But I, like most people could not really make out they songs you were chanting. The reason CG that you might not have heard the "chant" about you is that only about 20 people where chanting it for about as mnay seconds.
Regarding exact attendance know one can be sure so its just speculation but at a rough guess from what I saw pitchside 850-1000 is nothing but unreasable guess.
I think 2-1 would have been a better result as you definantly deserved to score and, us likewise more than you.
I was in eastbank and 1.45 and dere is no way there where 450 at that point i think youll find you went in the turnstille that had the ticket book from 400
