money for JD

ok people i have just had a phone call from Jason Gladman who informed me that there will be a meeting with the club soon too see about raising money to buy JD. As you would know if you've read on the shotsweb people are willing to give money towards JD i.e £10 each but Jason would like to know if he has the backing of the RBA as this would help to influence the collection to go ahead at the halifax home game on the 21st. The alledged roumors are that JD will sign but the club don't have the money soo if you could post too let us know if you would be willing to give £10 each or whatever you can pay

thanks

and you can count me in i'm willing to give £30 for JD

I would be happy to give a tenner for JD but isn't the transfer deadline the 17th of this month ? I see alot of people talking about the 31st but I have read elsewhere that it is the 17th. Can anyone clear that up for me please?

So the Board announce they need to raise funds and we dip our hands in our pockets.... without trying to sound narky i just don't get it...... we pay to watch the shots, we put money into the social clubs, we buy merchandise etc but it's never quite enough. I work for one of the directors of aldershot football club and he is considerably better off than nearly everyone i know so why it's up to us fans is beyond me.

I don't mind putting money into the club but i much prefer the whole fundraising events.... people are more likely to put in if they get a little something in return, with games you get entertainment and merchandise speaks for itself, people can rave on about how we will be getting something because we will be getting JD but their is no clarification of this.... our money could end up going on anyone, so before i'd be prepared to put my hand in my pocket i'd be looking for a little more of a gurantee that our money would be well spent.

Dylan the money we raise or collect will be for JD and no-one else!!! we are tryin to help the club, yes we do spend alot in everything you have said but i would get money out of my pocket to see JD run out in a shots shirt again!!! i think its a great idea as everyone keeps on about how much we want him etc . . .! i think its a great idea jason and im sure the RBA will back him, well he will have my money and im sure many more peeps!!! COME ON PEEPS WE WANT JD AND THIS IS OUR CHANCE!!! if we get a fair bit of money then we will make sure it is for JD and no-one else and the club will understand as it is OUR money given to get JD home!!

!!!FORZA SHOTS!!!

john!

It's not quite that simple though is it? both clubs would have to agree terms and what not and i have seen nothing whatsoever that states if "we" the fans, raise the funds the club will definately secure the signing of JD. Fact is, the club have stated that in order to sign anyone they need to raise funds not just for now but for the future aswell and it's now escalated into a big plan to all donate so much towards the "signing JD fund", if anyone can show me an article from a club official stating any money raised by us will be spent in this way then i stand corrected. However, i do think this is a good idea with plenty of potential and i think it shows a great level of passion from the fans to be prepared to do such, im just simply saying that before i was prepared to hand over any cash i'd want something a little more concrete to guarantee me my money is being spent in the best possible way, afterall, you wouldn't buy a brand new car without a contract would you?

A lot of people wont agree with me on this but im not willing to pay any money in to a fund to get a player as i was on the supporters club commitee for 12 months which i have recently resigned due to personal reasons but i think the supporters already including my self put enough money in to the football club you have to think me and keith raise £122 for the football club evey home game selling golden goal so i hope people see what im meaning

as we sell 2 lots of golden goal but you give £60 for winning £30 each ticket that wins so if you take £60 away from £182 it leaves you with £122 and im binman lol

Ok. Well if this is true then the JD fund will not be needed and the money beind raise can go on other players but i bet a few fans decide against it in the end.

I think Karl Prentice needs to dig deep. The fans are getting frustrated, and it won't take long before he is ousted.

Yeh i agree with that mate, but i think the best thing to do will be to stay calm and let them do thier job. If at the end of january we didn't sign anyone else it will be hard for us to go up.

I don't wish to be a stick in the mud but wever we sign anyone or not it's very unlikely we're gonna go up this season.... if we can get a good run of wins going then we may well sneak a playoff place again but i really don't see us getting promotion this year.

I think we should be looking at as high a finish as possible and building for next season so we are prepared and ready to launch a genuine title race as we have failed to do so this season.

personally i think we put enough cash into the transfer fund just by being at games buying the shirts buying the beer and as pugsley states buying "fixed" golden goal tickets when was the last time you saw manchester united ask fans for money to buy a player?

and the club as far as i can see havent even asked the fans to donate money thats not how a succesful club works....

ok the money gets raised for j.d could see a considerable rise in ticket prices as wages need to be paid aswell so its not all about buying him is it lets see

wages, medical treatments and such and if he becomes unhappy suddenly what a waste of time and effort

please send your hate mail to the rec ill pick it up match days
