Just been reading on www.theshots.co.uk and cam across the new player fund system we have what do people make of this.

ALDERSHOT TOWN FC PLAYER/TRANSFER FUND ' NOW OPEN

I am pleased to announce that after much form filling the setting up of a transfer/player fund for Aldershot Town FC is now complete. This will now be a separate bank account for any payments into the fund. Any supporter will be able to contribute by means of one off payments, monthly standing order or organising an event with proceeds going to the fund. Please bear in mind that ALL supporters can involve themselves in this and is only being set up for the benefit of the Football Club. In the future the fund may grow into something different in terms of format depending on its success. With Jonny Dixon signing for the club on a loan basis one of the first aims will be to aid Manager Terry Brown in his attempts to keep him at the club. Supporters will be kept fully informed of the funds progress via the match programme, media and websites. Thanks to all those people who have offered help or donations so far. Standing order forms can be obtained from myself, Brian Bloomfield or at the Club Offices. Over the next few days a printable form will be available from the website(s). We hope to make this a successful venture and any contributions large or small will be very gratefully received.
