First time this season we've been allowed to use flags on poles! Got a nice little comment from the manager in the local evening paper too which made it all worthwhile!
CITY boss Billy McEwan hailed the away following at Moss Lane.
"We had nearly 500 supporters away on a Tuesday night and it gives me a little buzz when I see those big flags waving and the enjoyment and pleasure on peoples' faces when we scored the goals."
It's about time you got to do a display. If we can do displays at our ground I honestly can't see why you're not allowed to have flags and things in your ground, it's not as though we're all a bunch of hooligan groups. Saying that we've had 'trouble' up north when we went to Carlisle in the Play Off Semi's and people were getting bags of red/blue card taken off them as they went in. We still managed to get quite a lot of it in still!
Why take card off is it known as a deadly weapon>? Or is it just the mess cause I can understand it must get quit messy for the groundsman But when it works out it looks quality like exeter away!
The excuse behind banning the paper was as follows "if it rains the stand will become hazardous(slippery)" but everything worked out fine anyway, the wind blew all the paper onto the corner of the pitch where we were stood covering the head steward who had ordered the ban in the first instance. That's what i class as sweet justice.
