This is a reason why we should start being more active as a group not just a few people! The end of last season and this one so far has just been a few people, not going to name any names as they know who they are. If we want to be a sucess we need more people to help. Some people have made it obvious that they don't want to be in the RBA this season by joininh other groups, but those who are left get involved and make the RBA a sucess story!

Flagboy? wtf is going on... when you started this group you wanted the RBA as a whole to stand out from the rest and make us known as the RBA!!! saying that there is not much off an RBA anymore is there, i mean no away travel, no new displays ( we are trying ) i mean come on boys do we want this or not??? because to be honest i do want the RBA to be around.....

look at the amount of credit we get from other teams, we have got to be doing something right havnt we?

but hay its not upto me is it.... but i will be cry to see the RBA go!

RBA! RBA! RBA! RBA! RBA! RBA!

I agree in the fact that the Eastbank is now in groups but i dont agree with geeting rid of the RBA we would be better getting everyone to join in with us and try and make the RBA bigger and better

You might want to re-read what you have written then edit it!

Motley,

You've got your wires crossed a little. Fatboy was just explaining on ShotsWeb, he is by no means a hooligan!

Don't worry lads I'm with you on this one.

I know we've not been great this year - lets keep things simple for now - then build ourselves back up.

Fatboy is a hooligan - FACT wink lol

I only joined the group this season so I dont really know what it used to be like, but all the RBA away days I've been on this season have been class!

The RBA will rise again! biggrin

As an ex member of the RBA i think clear as day that the buzz has gone. I don't know if its the fact that Alex was the man to speak to about the RBA in recent years, now you have now real instigator. Not saying you guys don't do a good job but I do honestly think there is a much bigger divide in the eastbank than in recent years. One chant that you seem to shout this season is "loyal supporters". I think this comes across a arrogant to sort of us against them. Some people have other commitments and can't make every game. You need to open your arms to other supporters let people know your still there for members to join on a more personal level. This isn't a slag off session just a constructive critisicm.

1. Fatboy aint a hooligan but is one of the best fans we have and without his hard work the display's wouldnt look half as good as they do.

2. What makes any1 think they can disband the RBA?......As long as there are people willing to keep it going it will never die and no 1 person can decide its finished even if they did start it.

3. The display's and the support has been outstanding at 80% of the games this year so whats the problem???

4. Although we only have 30 members this season I know there are lots of people that want to join but just don't know how to. With a recruitment drive(the stall) we could double that within a few games.

5. You don't really have to have membership to be in the RBA anyway....all you need to be is a passionate ATFC fan so that includes nearly the whole of the East bank minus the underage wannabe slags.

6. We have been running mini buses this year which have been a great success.

7. Look at what we have achieved already this season.......New pin badges, car stickers, fridge magnets, key rings courtesy of Doug,Antony&Frank...... Successful charity event raising £1000 for the hospice and the profile of the club..........RBA team entered into the skittles league run by the official supporters club(working together for a change for the good of the club)..... Club have agreed to give us a section of the program every week to give our view from the RBA perspective......not bad considering its only October!!!!

8. We are top of the league FFS!!!!! Why all this negativity now?????

9. Lets not forget who we are.....12th man......if we abandon the club now it could seriously affect the performances on the pitch. We have to keep up are performances on the terraces.

10. We need to call a meeting asap.

Apologies, must have my wires crossed. I heard you were now part of the youth hooligan firm that has recently come to light.

It's not 'us' who start the 'loyal supporters' chant off. It's usually someone further back. Remember it's not just the RBA who starts off the chants in the East Bank. I'd say that more than 80% of the chants are started by non-members....but that's just a guestimate.....I'm at school at the moment so can't really post properly...

I'll update this when I get a few minutes at about 3:45pm ;)

As someone that isn't very fond of the RBA and mainly just go to games with my dad, i think these are your major problems....

1. Membership-This has already been mentioned in this thread, but as a 14/15 year old, im not going to be 100% happy with just 'finding' someone in the Eastbank that i think may be in the RBA and handing them the form or whatever it is

2. Away Travel-This one again mentioned, You need to desperately update the page, it still shows travelling to Cambridge?, that game was 2 weeks ago, and people had to find out via the forum that there was no minibus running to Burton?

3. YOU NEED A LEADER, someone that is devoted to each and every single game, and is prepared to update the website, contact people, and think up new ideas

4. Make yourselfs stand out, find something that highlights you in the crowd of the eastbank, against the losers that get in free because they play for aldershot???? The word around my school is that the Eastbank is more of a place to socialise than to watch the football match??

5. POSOTIVE-You all need to stay posotive, you guys are obviously great and just take a look through the photo archieve, look at some of the amazing displays you've put on and remind yourself your capable of practically anything, What you do just doesn't happen in English Football anymore?? We are deffinetly the best fans in the conference, and as your motto goes: "often outbumbered" who cares if manchester united gets 65,000 a week, i know i would much ratehr be standing in the eastbank?

I will be more than happy to join biggrin

Yea, I agree. I wasn't/am not happy with that. I've mentioned it elsewhere.

2. Away Travel-This one again mentioned, You need to desperately update the page, it still shows travelling to Cambridge?, that game was 2 weeks ago, and people had to find out via the forum that there was no minibus running to Burton?

Kind of down to me. If we had information on travelling to Burton then it would have been put on the main website and updated on the away travel page.

3. YOU NEED A LEADER, someone that is devoted to each and every single game, and is prepared to update the website, contact people, and think up new ideas

Yup, we need someone to do this but we also want to start doing things as a group. We've had it before where it was FLAGBOY/Alex doing it all but yes I think we do need an overall leader - doesn't mean he's got to do everything himself though.

4. Make yourselfs stand out, find something that highlights you in the crowd of the eastbank, against the losers that get in free because they play for aldershot???? The word around my school is that the Eastbank is more of a place to socialise than to watch the football match??

I've got an idea for this. But we'll try it out on a match day soon.

5. POSOTIVE-You all need to stay posotive, you guys are obviously great and just take a look through the photo archieve, look at some of the amazing displays you've put on and remind yourself your capable of practically anything, What you do just doesn't happen in English Football anymore?? We just need to keep going. Fair enough we're not going to have a display at every game but as long we keep it going and have a presence at every game.

I will be more than happy to join biggrin

Things will be sorted ASAP.

Maybe getting some new photos on could help?
Cos the most recent photos I can see are ones of people who I believed to be in the 'Youth'?

I also noticed that there is no 2007-2008 season album on the main part of the website. .
I also believe that more coach trips couldn't go amiss,as I would rather go on a coach than on the train with 1 other Aldershot fan(no offence Beausmile)
