Just to let those who want to know, it doesn't look like we will have a bass drum at Torquay. The main skin is completely sunk, so it needs to be replaced.
Lee Patton and myself talked to Keith Able (supporters club) and Roger Sanders (music buff), and the supporters club have said that they would be able to sponsor at least half, if not all, of the price of the new skin, however, ordering it from the bloke Roger uses will not be available until after Monday's game.
The only thing we could do is do a whip round on Saturday and hope a music shop in the area has the correct skin. I don't know of any shops around now, since Potters at the top of town closed down. I also know that we'd need to make around £40 to buy it.
So, it looks like we'll be without a drum at the biggest game of the season.....
Get this on Shots Web too, I'm sure a few on there would put a few quid towards it too.
What about music shops in local towns? I don't know any though. "Helpful" :) I'm sure if you ask on Shots Web though a few people will be able to point you in the right direction.

the only other thing i can do is pay for it on my bank card and i MUST have the money back so i can give tony money for torquay coach. ill check it out fatboy. if i get it it will be on friday.
..........ive pretty much sorted the new skin out. it will be around £35. im just waiting for andertons in guildford to mail me back. if they dont hav one, im ordering it from djm music website. it will DEFINITELY be here by monday morning at the latest.
