this is a copy of an email i got sent now to me this seems to be a good excuse to do something for the club and have a good time after well let me know 20 people atleast are needed and you have to be definates im sure we could find a bbq from somewhere.
Gaz,
Had a chat with Dave at the Club. He's given the go-ahead for an RBA work day at the club, subject to sufficient numbers. It would be a Sunday and what I've suggested is work from 9-30 - 14:45 with further fun to start at 3:00 - Dave suggested bottles of cold beers at favourable prices plus maybe a BBQ if one can be brought to the ground.
We would need at least 20 to make it worthwhile. Can you let me know if 20 willing and able volunteers would be prepared to participate. The work would be essentially manual and could be digging/painting etc.
Do you have an RBA photgrapher as I would imagine that it would make a good web article for the RBA site showing what went on during the day.
i would love to help out but unable to do manual graft !!! but im handy with a camera and with my busy schedule ...( not ) im sure i can fit in an hour or so to take some pics of men @ work lol
If i'm available for this then put me down, depending on date, as long as it isnt the 8th im fine. I would be willing to take the photographs also, i may not be a professional but will give it my best shot
Gary - provisionally the 8th June, (week Sunday). If any of your guys can bring a BBQ, I'll ask Dave if the club can supply burgers/sausages/rolls. Don't forget we need at least 20 but I'm sure the RBA massive can exceed that comfortably!
