It is just my humble opinion, but this song is a bit of an embarassment! Yesterday, Bradford fans were p*ssing themselves laughing when it was first sung. It was perhaps relevant in our Ryman days, but with most neutrals being interested in the rise and rise of ATFC back into the football league - it is plainly not true anymore It is and always will be Millwall's song, MK Dons also sing it now and have the p*ss taken out of them as it is not even their 'own' song (and they also have more reason to sing it than we do) Whilst I am on my soap box, the oooooooohhhhhh, you're **** is also incredibly naff and so 1990's or possibly even 80's - I can't remember!! I expect to get shouted down - but these are the only two chants I will NEVER be heard saying/singing we need originality!
Who cares if other fans laugh at us? I was laughing at them when we completely out-sung them for 90 mins. I think it sounds good and is relevent to our town cos a lot of people speak of our town as being a hole and a rough place to come to......Therefore no-one likes us is relevent.....IMO
and.......Whats wrong with the 80's? I love em, as I proved on the dance floor last night!
I like the tune of "no-one likes us" and think it sounds great, but holds no meaning. However, as Chappie pointed out, reading opposition forums they don't seem to keen on Aldershot as a town so maybe it does...
"you're sh1t ahhhhhh" has to stay IMO, it's been sung since I started supporting The Shots in the 90's and is as much part of the experience as the East Bank or the drums!
I think originality is the key though, and there have been loads of songs suggested on here, but none ever seem to take off.
i like the the song, in a way !! no one like us... but i hate when we sing to a fans team, like bradford ,,,, your support is f*** ,s*** when you get 500 to 700 to a away match.. and 12000 to 15000 at home.......................
