I got a mate who wouldn't mind starting to play the drums at the games. Thought i would ask everyone on here what they think about it? he is going to get a red drumstick and a blue drumstick saying Aldershot on them. He will play any drum, but asked me to ask on here what everyone else thinks? Was reading about the bad atmosphere recently and I totally agree. Thought a new one could liven it up a little bit more giving us that extra boost. So what does everyone think?
Hmm, thank him for his enthusiasm, but we've got enough already me thinks. Every game we have at least Fatboy (base) and Tim (snare). Big games also see Elvis (snare) and myself (on base).
If we have too many drums we'll drown out the singing! If one retires for good then yes; but it would probably be a "no" for now i'm afraid.
I don't see what harm an extra drum would do as long as its played well and in tune. We could do with an extra drummer now as well, what with Tim having to do extra shifts at work as well as supporting Pompey! Thought the atmosphere suffered on Tues night with the snare drum out of action. I know some people don't favour the snare but its not often the atmosphere is complained about when its used. Ain't the same without it IMO and we are the envy of other clubs to have so many talented drummers
the more the merrier i think ! have to say without the snare on saturday the atmosphere wasnt the same and we certainly got outsung at times , so why not give him a go ??? and seeing that tim isnt gonna be about next month it surely wouldnt hurt , if he is crap then goodbye !!!!
i agree with u jax, as timwill be out for a few months or more, why not try him out, dthe drumming gets the fans going and makes more people sing, try him out as jax says and if you dont like him goodbye. its better than nothing and like i said, better atmosphere !!!
I don't think he is quite ready to play just yet anyway Probably just a few more weeks then we could give him a go? Morecambe at home on the 21st of Feb Maybe try him out then?
