I can see where your coming from Wob and I totally agree with you, of course all this interest has dragged away because, and with no offence to anyone, i think the RBA is attracting a lot of youthful attention, youths of which don't really know why the RBA was set up. And also dont know about the hard work that happens prior to matchdays and coach trips WE ARE A GROUP THAT IS OPEN TO ALL PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND IS FAMILY ORIENTATED. IN FACT WE ARE A BIT LIKE A BIG FAMILY AND WE TRY TO ENCOURAGE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO JOIN. WE DON'T EXPECT EVERY MEMBER TO BE ACTIVE BUT JUST HOPE THEY ENJOY TRAVELING WITH THE GROUP AND SINGING SONGS ON THE TERRACES Ect. I can put my hands up in the air and say I havent helped out, the only thing i do is the bonus ball, which i hope, raises a bit of money to go to things like displays, etc. Can people honestly say that they have given their heart and soul into making the eastbank a more vibrant and colourful atmosphere? WHAT YOU DO IS GREAT AND WITHOUT IT WE WOULDN'T HAVE THE FUNDS FOR MOST OF THE DISPLAYS. WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST ATMOSPHERES IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SO I'D SAY YES MOST PEOPLE DO GIVE THEIR HEART AND SOUL. There is obviously a pattern occuring in which we are:
Having good displays TRUE Running out of ideas for displays THOSE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT NEED TO POST. No talk about displays SAME AS ^ Lack of interest from members MORE TALK SHOULD LEAD TO MORE INTEREST.
Wob, I know how much time and effort you put in, creating and successfully selling scarves, banners, flags, and I for one, don't want your effort to end. It's people such as yourself that have raised the profile of the RBA. Please consider your decision mate, because I know for a fact there are plenty of people that do not know what is going on behind the scenes.
SOME GOOD DESIGNS BUT I DON'T THINK HE WOULD CLAIM TO HAVE RAISED THE PROFILE OF THE RBA? HE HAS MADE UP HIS MIND SO I DON'T THINK ITS WORTH TRYING TO PERSUADE HIM OTHERWISE. PERHAPS HE WILL GO ON TO FOLLOW WHICHEVER TEAM ELVINS ENDS UP AT.

indeed I hope he does follow elvins! as for him "singlehandedly" raising the profile, i think you may have misunderstood me. I was trying to imply that the work he has done has raised the profile, as well as people like Tony, Alex, Fatboy, Yourself Chappie and the many other volunteers that give up their hard earnt time to pursue the passion which is ATFC. Of which I apologize for missing key members out, its quite late!
I love this club as much as the next person but maybe its time we started becoming this family which we used to be. As long as every member of the RBA is happy with what is happening then we are all doing a good job. Right?
I'm just not so sure where it went wrong? Ok I agree the displays tailed off towards the end of the season but a lot of effort was put into the tour of duty. Nobody can tell me that was not a good display. Looked awesome from where I was standing. With the team not doing so well I think it was a great effort by all. As for becoming a family again, didn't everyone just have a great time at the Sports day? Seemed friendly and together to me and a laugh at the same time. I agree with your last bit but there is always room for improvement and obviously some members arn't happy with the way things are..........
You can please some of the people, some of the time. But you can't please all of the people, all of the time!
Membership cards have arrived so I will be taking membership fee's at tomorrows game. Its still £5 and if you can fill out a membership form (which can be down-loaded on this site) that would be a great help. Also feel free to post applications to me(my address can also be found on this site). We want to reach 120 members this season so please try to convince your mates to join also

Chappie - being a lazy git (me, not you!) I can't see your address on the site anywhere and can only roughly remember how to get to your house from dropping my money off last year...
Are you going to be at the Darlington match? If you are, I'll get the form/cash to you then, if not, can you PM the details to me and I will post it to you?
