erm just a few things that came to me last night, erm we said something about doing a project, well how about a shirt printing machine, i don't no how much they are but is it worth looking into it because im sure alot of fans will want there name on the back of there shirt with the football league printing.
next thing is.. dave said about doing something like the farnborough tournamnet, well why don't we see if we could have like a supporters game against woking on the pitch for a paul muddell memorial match on the pitch or something when the season has finished!
I know the club has looked into buying a machine to get the official football league printing on the back of shirts, however they are fairly big, so with the size of the club shop wouldn't have room for it.
Also, the cost of the machine to do is huge, so the club decided not to get one, as they believe they wouldn't get enough people having the shirts printed to make back the money spent on the cost and running of the printing machine. Therefore if the club can't afford to buy the machine, it would be virtually impossible for the RBA to raise the funds for this.
I think they are both great suggestions Adam. A lot would depend on the actual cost of the machine and where they could actually place it (downstairs bar?) If it was under £5,000 - could give the RBA a great target to chase. We could run a sponsored rubbish collection around the ground one sunday - and perhaps surrounding streets - if each fan sponsored us a couple of pounds each - we would raise the money easily!!
I had an idea too. How about to try and get more members for the RBA advertise a draw where every RBA member by say new year will be entered in, and then if their name or RBA membership number is drawn they get for exmaple a free shots shirt, an RBA scarf and free coach travel to an away game of their choice? Just a thought ...
It was mentioned about setting up a Pay Pal account to take payment for future merchandise so why not also use this as a deposit tool for booking away travel and discouraging people from putting there name down with no definite intention of going?
hi fellow rba members, ive just had a look on the web to find out about shirt transfer printing machines, came up with a companie called europa leisure who sell heat transfer machines and the the sports machine will cost £995.00 code number hf550 it will sit on a table so will not take up much room, your thoughts please. im sure between us all we could raise £995.00 ?
Good work Doug.....We need idea's for fundraising.......Car wash at the ground?
Just an idea! But how about a sponsered/bet weight loss scheme? obviously different formats could be decided? And I know it'd encourage me to loose a few baby pounds! ;)
I Swear when i was a little kid aldershot use to have the likes of mark butler gary abbott jimmy sugrue joe narty martin kuhl mark pye sheik kamara and Co come and play our squad after they retired , playing our team we had for a new season ,in other words Erm Like the ryman premier winning league team vs The proper team before the first game of the season. . . to raise money for a possible friendly next season .. benficial match similiar to paul muddell and that ? just a thought . .
