Fundraising Money

Hey Guys and Girls,

I have seen a lot of messages about raising funds for the RBA/Aldershot Town FC and what the funds would go to, whether it be a printing machine, pitch covers etc.

In my opinion, which some may find selfish, the printing machine and pitch covers should be the clubs responsibility. Yeah sure, we all know that the club isn't minted but I can, unfortunately, only see us raising £500 max. I would love to be proved wrong by the way. One way of raising funds is the Bonus Ball, which I have been trying to plug for the last year with limited success. Please guys, R.B.A need the funds for something constructive.

For me, one realistic target could be a new supporters team kit, and I'm not having a moan, because I like to see positives, but at Hereford we looked a state, no thanks to my shoddy headband however.

If anyone else agrees or has any opinions on this please let me know.

Maybe a new kit is something we could look into, to raise as a group?

Agreed - if the RBA want to raise some cash, there would be no reason to frown upon spending it on "itself" buying a new strip.

It is nice to be able to chip in with things that the club are after, but not at the expense of inconveniencing "yourself".

Call me selfish, for those who play for the team all very nice, but could'nt the members of the R.B.A benifit from the money somehow, as they are the people that have put it there in the first place. Have the club still got all those EBB white shirts that were over ordered by a member of the board. I know they were stored up somewhere, ask local shot (Dave). Perhaps a donation to the club would do the trick? Perhaps, each name in the bonus ball gets £5 of coach travel to the tour of duty. If you have 5 numbers, then you get £25 pounds off for anyone of their choice. The R.B.A sewing machine has just been fully serviced and repaired as needed, due to wrong parts fitted when it was brought, perhaps some different flags, as the old ones are getting a bit shabby and  something a bit different would be nice to see! If everyone puts some ideas down, then perhaps the R.B.A board team could decide. Down to you lads and lasses, Paul.

Paul, I can certainly look into getting a new kit for the RBA team if you like, as this is something I have had to before, when I ran my own 5-a-side team a few years ago.

I can see what companies can do these things for us if you need.

Carlotti supply 15 shirts, 15 shorts, 15 socks and a fully keepers kit for £150. All  you need to do is go to Ian Dawkins of High Speed or Tim Elliott of EBB and ask them for £150, which gives them free shirt front sponsor for the life of the kit! Don't forget that some teams also have sponsors on the back, shorts, and socks. Wakey wakey boys, its there for the taking! Football is a buisness, use it to your advantage!     Tele-01925 848 353      www.carlotti.com

Paul, I think you are completely correct on this, like I say, I was looking on a selfish point of view with no regard to any other option. I definitely agree on the flag issue, a new flag(s) would be ideal, once again though, same people making the effort to make and come up with the ideas. I'm not one of them so I wouldn't mind helping when available.

If you can think of a design, draw it, I'll give you what it needs to be done, and you can do the rest smile That goes the same for anyone...
