a few of you may know me, i have previously been on the RBA coach to a few away Games. My names Rich and im just writing to ask for your support and if your feeling generous donations towards mine and my brother(paul) fleet half marathon run this year.
THE CAUSE
We are running on behalf of a local family whos lives last year were turned upside down.
After months of tests, the husband and father was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This is an unpredictable, degenerative disease with no cure and the average life expectancy is between 2 and 5 years from the onset of symptoms.
The person concerned is a devoted husband and loving father of 2 very young children. Having only recently celebrated his 35th birthday, he is, in fact, very young to be struck by this disease.
The person concerned would like to remain anonymous but he is a local lad who has lived in the area for many years.
We are raising money to go into a trust fund that the family can use as and when needed to provide them with sufficient equipment to help make life easier and to allow them to spend time together doing whatever they want to build lasting memories.
