Port Vale (ToD)

WoW!!
already onto the 3rd coach and still one month to go

we need to think about colour, display, balloons, confetti, banners - everything for this
Lets make this 5x better than Grimsby!
they have an away end where we can make so much noise - it has fantastic acoustics

bring red and blue balloons - where your Shots shirt - if not where red and make sure the person next to you is in blue!!
They will not be expecting this!!!

Getting sorted. Everyone there will have to participate to help pull it off. Nothing hard, just involves making a right mess.

I would wear an RBA Scarf but I've worn the same one for over 16 years. I will do anything to help though with confetti or such.

Yeah, I didn't think that post through! I meant that I have had the same scarf since my first game but I would. wear an RBA scarf if everyone else is wearing one. Simples.

Ok, at Grimsby I was ankle deep in red/blue confetti, I expect to be drowning in it a Vale Park.
Same goes for red and blue balloons, everyone should be gasping for breath because of the amount of balloons they've blown up prior to kick off.
Everyone wear an aldershot shirt, if you dont have one wear a red/blue top. In fact make all your clothing, trainers, socks, trousers, the lot red/blue.
Everyone wear an aldershot scarf, if you dont have one, wear any red/blue one.

Everyone spend the full 90 minutes, singing, chanting for the boys as loud as possible. Whether you like or dislike a particular player or manager, still give your 100% support for them during the game. After the match, you should have lost the ability to speak.
Make the vast majority of our chants in support of the team and management.
Spend as much time as possible jumping around and twirling your scarf.

Persuade as many people of possible to attend this game, its going to be awesome.

Finally, in the coming weeks, do not go on to the vale forum or boast to your vale mates about how we're going to bring 50 million fans. If anyone asks, act like your not interested and say we're bring about 150 fans.

This - even the Grimsby stewards were expecting us to bring a thousand! - Keep the element of suprise as much as possible.

I expect the fact that the Tour of Duty is being advertised on here and also on Shotsweb may mean that a Vale fan could see it so it may be no massive surprise to them.

Obviously there's going to be a few people in the know, as you say through viewing Shots Web etc. However we need to keep this to ourselves as much as we can.

Don't worry we won't be suprised. I heard about it months ago but I was hoping you'd bring more than the 600 some of you on on about. Considering its supposed to be a a special following. Any less than 1000 and it won't be anything special to the Vale fans. A couple of years ago we had the likes of Leeds, Wednesday, Forest etc filling the away end.
