But isn't a team about their fans not their players? Players come and go but fans will (generally) always be there....
Why should it be about their fans? Fan's don't play for their teams (I mean like "big" teams) Compared to all the other english teams. They're not ALL full of foreign players. There should DEFINITELY be a limit of foreign players or how many home-grown players there has to be in your team.

Arsenal are an English club, albeit with foreign players. But the fans are still English (mostly I presume) and their location is still within the capital of England, so therefore they are the English club in the Champions League still.

Who said Arsenal weren't an English club? It still goes back to the fact there should be a limit of how many foreign players there are in throughout the whole team. I bet there are a few english player's that would die to play for Arsenal but with a foreign manager (yes I know there are many foriegn managers throughtout leagues) they don't get the chance, even if they're good enough.
If Aldershot Town was to get rid of EVERYONE and replace them with some better foreign players I would stop going to watch them. To be honest, I think that the foreign players should stay in there own country and play with 'their' teams. Likewise with English players. It's not a 'perfect' world and it will never happen.
I hate arsenal not because they're multi-cultural its because they cheat but for most sides it is the foreign players diving and rolling about take Drogba 4 example one touch hes on the floor one of these days he is seriously going 2 hurt himself but no1 will believe him the phhysio will take his time getting over there because he knows drogba cheatsand with reyes people thought he broke his ankle when actually he bruised it and he only bruised it because of the way he landed with his dive but his reaction was like he'd been run over football at least in the top level is appaling u dont c this @ aldershot infact any conference match
Well personally I can't see what the problem is in having all foreign players if that is what works best for you.
I am sure there are thousands of English people that would love to play for Arsenal, but it doesn't mean that they are any good. Arsenal football club want to be the best they can be and if that means getting in foreign players then why not?
