  Shots boss has Icelandic targets Aldershot boss Terry Brown has revealed that the Conference side are targeting "a number of Icelandic players".

The Shots boss sent representatives to Saturday's Intertoto Cup tie in Belfast, where Dungannon Swifts lost 4-1 on aggregate to IBF Keflavik.

"The Intertoto gives us the opportunity to look at reasonably priced, talented youngsters from other countries," Brown told his club's website.

"It's probably the first time Aldershot Town have sent a scout abroad."

wow how cool would that be havin iclandic players at the rec??

Well not really seeing as their premier league is equivalent to the conference in this country


I mean it attracts some Premiership teams to buy some players but ive never seen them play


Charlton for example bought 2 icelandic players two years ago Rurik Gislason and Jani Tanska but they have yet to feature for the first team

Not always a positive point.Players like this have their down points to them,they are bound to take half a season to gell with the other players but that will be the same with our whole team next season and thats whats going to keep us off promotion places in my eyes
