Are You Good Enough?

ALTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB - YOUTH TEAM

If anyone is intrested in playing football next season or any current players want to progress in there career then this is for you!

Alton Town Youth team lost three players at the end of last season (one of which was me) because of the league age restriction. Pre season training will be starting shortly and the manager Jim Mckell has been doing his usal local football club scouting. Obviously though he can't get to see the young talent from many places apart from Alton so if you are at least year 11 school age and under the age of 18 at the start of September 2006 then this is for you!

The team play in the Allied Counties Youth South Division along with such youth teams as: AFC Newbury, Bisley Sports, Binfield, Bracknell Town, Camberley Town, Hartley Wintney, Hungerford Town and Reading Town. The training night is a Monday from 6:30-8pm although home league and cup matches are also a Monday night so if the team have a match then obviously there will be no training. Away league and cup matches can be on any night from a Monday to a Thursday and all league and cup matches are a 7:45pm kick off. The team travels to away games by mini bus so the team can bond and keep team spirit up e.t.c and there are frequent visits to MacDonalds after some away games. The youth team also enter the Hampshire Youth Cup meaning you could get a chance to play at grounds like Aldershot or Eastleigh and they also enter the FA Youth Cup meaning you could end up playing at a premiership ground if the team progressed in the rounds!

You will also get a chance to progress your career further when you are too old for this team by moving onto our men's first and reserve team who play in the high standard Sydenhams Wessex leagues alongside clubs like FA Vase winners Winchester City.

So if you fancy playing football at a high standard, midweek under floodlights whilst playing at some quality non league football grounds (for example: the youth team played at Farnborough Town last season) then contact me on here by private message, leave a post below or email me on alex--freeman@hotmail.com and I will pass your details onto the manager Jim Mckell.

Remember as this is midweek evening football you will still be able to support the shots home and away.

Up the Town and come on the shots! (both ATFC)

P.S. Visit www.atfc-youth.piczo.com which is the official website of the Alton Town Youth team.
