McGinty named Aldershot chairman

Aldershot Town have announced that John McGinty is the club's new chairman.

McGinty was already on the board as a director and replaces Karl Prentice who relinquished the position in order for him to take over.

Meanwhile Douglas Wilson has been appointed chief executive at the Conference club.

McGinty said: "We want to provide the manager Terry Brown with funds to advance the club. For my part I will do my utmost to do that."
