Grays Abandonement

What is the RBAs thoughts on this. Heres Mine.

Yet again for the 2nd time this season ive gone back to London angry. After Crawley was postponed you rarely think that lighting strikes twice. Im ****ing annoyed. It was a bad pitch though cant blame the ref for abondoning it. It werent as bad as other games though. Oh well roll on Stevenage and hopefully a decent pitch.

I know that is a good thing not many clubs do that. But it all depends on the timing of the fixture because im away in February.

It would have been played, had the drainage systemworked. Apparently, the council tipped a load of sand onto the pitch a while back, and blocked up the drainage, so that doesn't work, either.

Yes as FATBOY has already beaten me to it; the council put sand and cement? down on the pitch which will obviously go through the grass and block it up.

Yeah it was annoying but I guess there's not much you can do about mother nature. I sympathise with your situation though as I had a mate travel from Andover for the game only to be dissapointed by it being called off. He's unlikely to be able to make the re-arranged fixture as I'm sure it will be a mid-week evening game and he works nights. I've checked with the club though and they say he can send his match stub to the ticket office for a full refund. That's better than most clubs do and certainly wouldn't of happened when Prentice was at the healm!........Cheers John!

Having spent over 20 minutes forking the pitch before hand in a game that never should have started I was rather annoyed having been soaked to the skin for no reason. If there had been a 20-30 minute pause in the rain then the majority of the water would have dispearsed but as there were no let up the water was just building up.
